Romance | Youth | Mental Health

Jeanne (Esther Garrel) is 23-year- old, heartbroken and homeless after being jilted by her boyfriend. She turns to her father Gilles (Eric Caravaca), a laid-back philosophy teacher, who is happy to see his daughter and welcomes her into his home, but only after introducing her to his lover, Ariane (Louise Chevillotte), a woman the same as Jeane. Although there is potential for conflict as the women vie for that attention of the same man, they form a truce and begin to share secrets. Shot in black and white, the latest film from French auter Philippe Garrel is an elegant, insightful study of how casually love is lost or betrayed.
