Exquisitely shot in luminous monochrome and with a haunting score, November is a startlingly beautiful folk fable set in an impoverished peasant landscape. It’s a fantastical place where the spirits of the dead walk serenely among the living and the inhabitants own soulless automatons created from wood and metal called kratts.
Against this desolate snowy background, Rainer Sarnet has created a great tale of unrequited love. Liina, a werewolf, desires Hans, but he has fallen for a baroness. Can she win him over without hurting either of them?
