This Belgium-French co-production comedy follows its main character, Éléonore (played by the director herself) on her unexpected little adventure.

Following a car malfunction in the middle of France, film director Éléonore has to make a stop at the mostly abandoned campsite with mobile homes and a view of a lovely lake. During her stay encounters interesting characters and searches for the mysterious lake monster.

As a documentary diary that slowly turns into fiction, Camping du Lac is a refreshing example of a love for storytelling and the artistic freedom of low-budget filmmaking. AK
