Hollywood actress Mabel (Jess Weixler) feels out of her comfort zone playing a blind woman in an art house horror movie about a hospital for the disfigured, the first English language film by a renowned European auteur. The arrival of the disabled cast, including Mabel’s on-screen partner Rosenthal (Adam Pearson), a young man with a severe facial deformity, only adds to Mabel’s nervousness. However, a bond begins to form between the two actors, whilst political correctness and rumour becomes rife on a set where we’re never quite sure if we are in the film, or the film within the film.
There will be a post-screening Q&A with the director.
