Cork Film Festival is delighted to partner with the Irish Film Institute Education Department and An Taisce Walk to School Week to present On the Way to School for 5th and 6th class primary school pupils in Cork.

Green-Schools is Ireland’s leading environmental management and award programme, working with primary and secondary schools across the country. To celebrate their new Global Citizenship Travel theme and Walk to School Week 2019 (May 13th-17th), Cork Film Festival is teaming up with the IFI Education Department and our Principal Venue Partner The Gate Cinema to present Pascal Plisson’s documentary On the Way to School, for 5th and 6th class pupils in Cork City on Tuesday, May 14th. This beautifully observed documentary follows young people in four different parts of the world as they make their daily journey to school, across idyllic landscapes and rough terrains, united in a belief that school is a place worth making an effort to reach.

Tickets: €5.50 per pupil, teachers go free! Booking in advance is essential.
