The latest documentary from the director of My Architect (2003) is a hugely enjoyable investigation into the art world or, more specifically, the selling of art, in New York, London and beyond. The film features interviews with a number of significant artists (there’s a key contrast between Jeff Koons and Larry Poons, both fascinating) and those who buy their works, though the most compelling contributions come from dealers who conspire to keep work expensive and in the hands of private investors, away from public view. Presenting some of the most celebrated art works of the 20th century, the exhibition on screen is a delight in itself.
