The Taste of Things (The Pot-au-Feu) + Culinary Event
A Belle Époque feast for all the senses, Juliette Binoche and Benoît Magimel serve up gastronomic marvels with a moving tale of love. Gourmet Dodin’s (Magimel) expertise is admired far and wide; his cook, Eugénie, (Binoche), is equally admired for her skilfull execution of his culinary creations. He wants to marry her, but she is happy to maintain her independence in a relationship of equal standing, so he decides to do something he has never done before - cook for her.
Advised by revered French chef Pierre Gagnaire as culinary director of the film, the cinematic choreography exquisitely conjures up the sensuality of gastronomy and the pleasure of love, through culinary art. FC
