Fear Screen 2024 Online Shorts Programme

Friday, 29th March – Monday, 1st April Online

We are delighted to present a special selection of European horror short films as an accompanying programme to Fear Screen: European Thrillers and Horrors at CIFF.

Be immersed in a terrific selection of horror short films, from post-apocalyptic animations to body horrors that will make your hair stand on end (or fall out…), you don’t want to miss out on this chilling programme. Available on our Digital Festival Platform from 12am on Friday, 29th March until 11.59pm on Monday, 1st April. After this content becomes available, you’ll have 72 hours to start watching. Once you begin, you’ll have 30 hours to finish watching.

THE BOOB FAIRY

Who will best play her part: the dancing lioness or the little girl we attempt to tame? Only the Boob Fairy will know who is really worthy of her attention.

 

THEY SALIVATE

Dir. Ariane Boukerche – France – (2020) – 18

They Salivate is the story of a kiss. A couple kiss each other in their deserted living room. The party begins and one guest drinks the couple’s last kiss.

 

THE HUNT

Dir. Krzysztof Raczkowski – Poland – (2017) – 18

A she-wolf tries to save herself and her puppies from consumption. Constant escape causes loss of consciousness, what is real and what is not.

 

MAD IN XPAIN

Dir. Coke Riobóo – Spain – (2020) – 18

In a post-apocalyptic Spain, different tribes survive, struggling to take control of the only existing sustenance: a red wine of negligible quality. (A sequel to Made in Spain, 2016.)

 

SWIPE

Dir. Niels Bourgonje – Netherlands – (2019) – 18

A girl finds out that she has a match on a dating app with a stranger, despite swiping him to the left moments ago. She starts to fear that the man is dangerously close to her.

 

SHINY NEW WORLD

Dir. Jan van Gorkum – Netherlands – (2021) – 18

Fifty-year-old Barry is a special kind of cleaner: he cleans crime scenes where demons have wreaked havoc. While making a corporate film about his work, a normal working day for Barry gets out of hand in a bloody way.

 

BAD HAIR

Dir. Oskar Lehemaa – Estonia – (2020) – 18

Insecure and balding Leo has closed himself in his apartment to try a hair growth liquid for fixing up his looks. As Leo tries to get his bodily changes under control the evening quickly turns into chaos.
