Cork International Film Festival has announced a multi-year partnership with Redbreast Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey.
Ireland’s largest and longest-running film festival and the world’s most awarded single pot still Irish whiskey* will join forces to champion Irish and international filmmakers and spotlight emerging film talent.
This dynamic collaboration marks a significant cultural moment, rooted in a shared commitment to craft, storytelling, and nurturing emerging talent. The partnership will offer a series of high-profile activations designed to engage filmmakers, industry leaders, and festival-goers during the Festival’s significant 70th anniversary edition this November.
This announcement comes a week after CIFF was awarded the Judges’ Special Recognition Award at the 2025 Business to Arts Awards, recognising the Festival’s suite of meaningful and impactful partnerships with businesses across Cork and Ireland**.
Fiona Clark, CIFF Director & CEO (pictured below, right), said:“Our mission is to encourage audiences to discover film and reimagine the world. As one of the world’s longest-running film festivals, celebrating our significant 70th anniversary this year, we are thrilled to collaborate with Redbreast, with its strong connection to Cork, to seek out and celebrate new discoveries in film. Together, we aim to profile and support new Irish and international film talent while offering audiences and visitors to Cork a unique and memorable experience this November.”

As part of the Festival’s landmark 70th edition, the new Redbreast UNHIDDEN Short Award will be presented to an emerging filmmaking talent. Redbreast UNHIDDEN, part of Redbreast’s global ‘Quite the Find’ campaign, aims to help audiences across the globe unearth hidden gems and celebrate original storytelling, mirroring the uncovering of exceptional treasures in whiskey, much like Redbreast.
“As a brand deeply rooted in heritage and craft, Redbreast is honoured to partner with CIFF – an institution equally committed to preserving tradition while championing new voices,” said Emma Waldron (pictured above, left), Prestige Brand Manager at Irish Distillers, maker of Redbreast. “Through Redbreast UNHIDDEN, we aim to uncover exceptional storytelling and support the creative process, just as we do in our pursuit of unique and remarkable flavours in whiskey. This partnership allows us to celebrate the artistry of film and whiskey together, both on screen and in the glass.”
The winner of the inaugural Redbreast UNHIDDEN Short Award at CIFF will be selected from a shortlist from across the Festival’s Irish and international shorts programmes. It will be independently judged by a jury of two international film programmers and an Irish talent development producer. The award will include a cash prize of €1,000. The winner will be announced at a special CIFF Short Awards presentation in Cork on Thursday, 13th November, during the 11-day film festival.
