Schools Programme – 70th Edition


Cork International Film Festival is delighted to announce the return of our schools Programme, which will take place during our Festival in November 2025.

Our Schools Programme includes six feature films, suitable for Junior Cycle, Transition Year and Senior Cycle students.

The Schools programme is available at
● Arc CInema (Cork City) from Monday 3rd to Friday 7th and Monday 10th to 14th November 2025
Each student ticket is €7.50 (€7 DEIS school discount), accompanying teachers can attend free of charge.

Senior French : The Marching Band (En Fanfare)

When prestigious orchestra conductor Thibaut discovers he is adopted following a cancer diagnosis, he connects with his biological brother Jimmy. The seemingly juxtaposed brothers find their connection through Jimmy’s marching brass band. A heartwarming and comedic tale of a community marching brass band.

Junior French : Savages (Sauvages)

With the tropical forest under threat of deforestation from logging companies, Kéria, Selaï and their rescued baby orangutan Oshi decide to take a stand to save the rainforest and protect its indigenous population. A stunning new animation from My Life as a Courgette director Claude Barras.

Senior German : Two to One (Zwei zu Eins)

When a family in East Germany discovers millions worth of soon-to-be-destroyed currency during the 1990s’ reunification era, they plot to use as much as they can before it becomes worthless. The comical heist unites and divides the close knit socialist community, now under pressure to spend, spend, spend.

Junior German : Winners (Sieger sein)

Young teenagers all sat in a messy classroom with toilet roll strewn across the roof and classs sheets on the floor. One girl stands awkwardly at the top of the class.

Eleven-year-old Mona has just arrived in Berlin from Syria. She doesn’t speak any German, but she loves football and joins the school team, where morale is at an all-time low and her teammates aren’t particularly welcoming. A tale of teamwork and making friends in new unfamiliar places. Contains strong language.

Senior Spanish : Germany (Alemania)

16-year-old Lola is offered the chance to study abroad in Germany and is eager for a taste of independence. However, her home life is complicated by her older sister’s mental health, and her family are hesitant to let her leave. A gripping Spanish-language coming-of-age drama.

Junior Spanish : Jump! (¡Salta!)

Directors: Olga Osorio | 2023 | Spain | Sci-Fi/Comedy | 85 mins | Language: Spanish (subtitled) | 12+

Brothers Teo and Óscar become separated when Teo disappears down a mysterious wormhole in 1989. When he reappears exactly the same, 33 years later, he must work together with his now-older brother to find the right wormhole to send him back and find their mother. A terrific sci-fi romp through time.
