Cork International Film Festival has made its activities for young people a strategic priority, creating unique opportunities in Cork and Ireland for young audiences and filmmakers. Through a high-profile platform, we champion their voices, empower their creativity, and provide access to the industry, enabling them to shape its future.
Intinn
Intinn is CIFF’s flagship Youth Film and Mental Health Programme. It offers Transition Year students an opportunity to explore mental health and wellbeing through the popular and accessible medium of film, stimulating meaningful conversations through film and providing strategies for resilience.
Look@Me
Look@Me empowers primary school pupils to share their stories, providing a platform for their voices. The project also enables professional filmmakers like Max to deepen their practice in the role of film as a communication tool for marginalised groups
Young Programmers Project
Under the tutelage of CIFF’s programming team, the Young Programmers panel will learn about the curatorial process of film festivals, developing a comprehensive understanding of festival programming, from screener to screening, along with licensing and distribution, event management and networking, marketing and promotion.
