Climate in Therapy is a humorous, inventive and serious experiment in which seven climate scientists meet in a godforsaken meeting room to engage in circle therapy about their shared climate anxiety.

Here they confront an academic taboo and a hitherto unknown area of research in itself: their own emotions. Therapist Richard Beck faces a tricky task with the scientists, who are much better at talking about natural disasters than what’s burning inside themselves.

A wonderful example of a film project that ambitions to live on beyond its screening and impact reality, Climate in Therapy embraces the power of cinema to bring people together and invites filmgoers to join the community built by the filmmakers, who work with leading partners in climate science, psychology, and education to share information, testimonies and spread awareness.

Climate in Therapy is a hit with audiences because it acknowledges their own struggles with climate anxiety and proposes ways to open up and find relief in doing so.

Screened with the short film Black Tide (Kim Yip Tong | France | 2025).

Also available to watch online nationwide.
