Honey Bunch
Following a traumatic incident, Diana and Homer arrive at a remote clinic deep in the woods, hoping the radical therapy will cure Diana’s memory loss. But then Diana begins to see things that aren’t there. Are these her memories returning, or something else?...
The second feature by directors Madeleine Sims-Fewer and Dusty Mancinelli, Honey Bunch takes delight in wrong-footing the viewer at every turn, echoing the eerie atmosphere of classic ghost stories but becoming so much more. The lead turns by Grace Glowicki and Ben Petrie (who just happen to be director and co-writer, respectively, of Dead Lover, also featured in this years Disruptor strand) make plausible what could have been purely ridiculous in lesser hands, and they are ably supported by Kate Dickie and Jason Isaacs.
Prepare yourselves for a rollercoaster of a film where nothing is as it seems.
This screening is supported by the Embassy of Canada in Ireland.
