Behind the surface of the world we see, there is another world…

WHAT IF WE RUN OUT OF STONES? - Nora Štrbová [RU]

What if everything in the world were equal, with no distinction between the value of the living and the inanimate? A short film about the life of the stones among us shot on 35 mm.

WORLD AT STAKE - Susanna Flock, Adrian Jonas Haim, Jona Kleinlein [RU]

Shot in sports video games, the film "World At Stake" turns the ordering principles of victory and defeat upside down and negotiates social roles between individual sovereignty and collective passivity. In the face of catastrophe, a feeling of political powerlessness remains. Nothing less than the world is at stake.

ARGUMENTS IN FAVOUR OF LOVE - Gabriel Abrantes [RU]

S THE WOLF - Sameh Alaa

A middle-aged man reflects back on his tumultuous adolescent phase while sitting in his childhood bedroom. Through intricate and deeply personal musings somehow all tied to his hair - hair growing or hair receding - we, over time accumulate meaning into the larger journey of his life.

WONDERWALL - Róisín Burns

Liverpool, 1995. The dockers are on strike. But Siobhan (9) and her big brother Rory have other things on their mind : will their heroes Oasis beat Blur in tonight's Battle of Britpop. When a fight breaks out, Siobhan runs off into the night. She drifts around, tired and alone, and the streets seem strange and unfamiliar.

LITTLE REBELS CINEMA CLUB - Khozy Rizal (2024)

Set in 2008, Doddy, a 14 year old boy, tries to recreate an iconic scene of a zombie film with three of his best friends, using a handycam belonging to Anji, his sad and angry emo brother.

International premieres are eligible for Grand Prix International Short Award and Grand Prix Documentary Short Award. Films eligible for the Redbreast UNHIDDEN Short Award are indicated with [RU]. All films are from 2025 except where indicated.

Awards presentation supported by Murphy’s.
