Enigmatic 17-year-old high school student Jooin is a cheerful friend, a shameless daughter, a mischievous girlfriend, and a person always hard to predict. But more than anything, Jooin is curious about and baffled by love. One day, some words she says in a fit of anger cause a major scene. Afterwards, she receives anonymous notes questioning her behaviour, and cracks begin to appear in her formerly peaceful world. “Jooin, who is the real you?”

Praised by Bong Joon-ho (Parasite) as “a director who makes films that no one else can imitate”, Yoon Ga-eun unveils a new and expanded cinematic world following the critically acclaimed The World of Us (Berlinale 2016) and The House of Us (BFI London 2019).

Cork International Film Festival is delighted to return to its Principal Venue, The Arc Cinema on North Main St, Cork, for its 70th Festival edition, Thursday 6th to Sunday 16th November 2025.

The Arc Cinema Cork is home to The GATE Screen — a space dedicated to preserving and celebrating the legacy of the beloved former Gate Cinema — and an ideal spot for meeting fellow festival goers in between screenings. The GATE Screen features luxurious double sofa seats and tables, creating an intimate and sophisticated viewing experience. It is dedicated to showcasing arthouse films, including independent and local productions, foreign and Irish language titles throughout the year.
