Where Is The Friend's House?
A schoolboy realises, as he is getting ready to do his homework, that he has mistakenly brought home a classmate's notebook. Knowing that his friend risks being expelled if he does not hand in his homework in his own notebook, he sets off to find him. He has, however, no idea where he lives, and adults are not that helpful.
The greatness of Iranian filmmaker Abbas Kiarostami’s oeuvre is unquestionable. His extraordinary films changed many things, in the first place for filmmakers of his country, who benefited from the attention turned their way. One of his work’s core traits is that it gave childhood a central place. In this epic tale built from the basis of a simple premise, Kiarostami gives life to the schoolboy’s point of view, making him an astonished witness of his own world.
An unforgettable work of beauty.
