2001: A Space Odyssey

Experience Stanley Kubrick’s visionary masterpiece 2001: A Space Odyssey on the big screen at the Everyman — a cinematic journey unlike any other.

Spanning the dawn of humanity to the far reaches of space, Kubrick’s landmark science-fiction epic explores the mysteries of human evolution, artificial intelligence and our place in the universe. When a mysterious black monolith is discovered on the Moon, it sets in motion an expedition to Jupiter, where two astronauts and their sentient supercomputer, HAL 9000, embark on a mission that will take them far beyond the limits of human understanding.

But as HAL begins to turn against his human companions, the voyage becomes a chilling struggle for survival, culminating in a surreal and transcendent journey into the unknown. Monumental in its vision, mesmerising in its imagery and haunting in its questions, 2001: A Space Odyssey remains one of cinema’s most extraordinary achievements - a film whose full power is best experienced on the big screen.
