Operation Recomply

Operation Recomply follows family members of the Filton 25 and documents their fight for justice while the state escalates its crackdown on the pro Palestine movement.

Strangers transform grief into a community bound by love, support and resistance as the government uses terrorism laws to criminalise peaceful protest.

THE BIGGER PICTURE:

Democracy on Trial: The Filton 25 Example

The Filton 25 were accused of terrorism for destroying Israeli war drones. What happens when those who challenge the status quo are imprisoned, publicly vilified, or held up as warnings to others? And what does it mean when the law itself becomes part of the battle over what society is allowed to protest?

Guests: Filmmaker Alex Grace, Filton 25 former political prisoner Jordan Devlin, Mary Lawlor, Former UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights Defenders and Head of Amnesty International Ireland; Moderator: Aurélie Godet.
