The Body is Water

A grieving American man, yearning to disappear, travels to a small village in Ireland's West Cork, where he discovers a close-knit community, an eccentric young woman, and her curious dog who refuse to let him fade away.

Cork native Vicky Wight directs the late Isiah Whitlock Jr. in his final role, alongside a wealth of Irish talent. Her deeply moving film explores the collision between personal grief and community life, offering a heartfelt tribute to that much-loved — and internationally envied — Irish gift for making room for everyone.

Cast in attendance: Saoirse Monica Jackson, Eva Birthistle, Allen Leech, Fionnula Flanagan, Aidan Quinn, and Stephen Rea.
