Europe on Screen, Europe in Collaboration
Marking Ireland’s EU Presidency in 2026, this special event celebrates Irish–French co-production as a powerful expression of European cultural collaboration, bringing together industry voices and audiences to explore co-production, creative exchange and the future of the European audiovisual landscape.
This event will encompass two sessions. The first will offer an in-depth production case study of the Venice Film Festival’s Golden Lion-winning Father, Mother, Sister, Brother from celebrated US auteur Jim Jarmusch. The film is a co-production of Ireland, France, Italy and the USA, with Irish producer Richard Bolger playing an integral role in the realisation of the project. In this session Bolger will break down the co-production structure, financing and delivery of the film.
This will be followed by a keynote interview with Olivier Père exploring his impressive tenure as Managing Director of ARTE France Cinéma, with co-producing credits including Sentimental Value, Triangle of Sadness and Titane.
The event will be followed by a networking session and refreshments.
Funded as part of the Culture Programme for Ireland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2026.
Supported by the Irish Government’s Communicating Europe Initiative (CEI) and by the French Embassy in Ireland. Presented in association with Screen Producers Ireland & Creative Europe.
