AVA is an online and onsite video platform where you can watch a selection of short films from previous Cork International Film Festival programmes and European partner film festivals for free.  New titles are added each year and films may be viewed at a dedicated viewing booth at Cork City Library, Bishopstown Library and, coming soon, Midleton Library or ‘on demand’ from home, using your Cork library card.

In 2018, Cork Film Festival added 31 European and Irish short films to the library, bringing the total number of films available to you to watch to 55. As part of the 63rd Cork Film Festival in November 2018, a guest curated strand of 20 short films and 1 feature documentary from La Guarimba International Film Festival in southern Italy, were added – bringing the total number of films on the platform to 76. Cork International Film Festival has been championing short film for many years and we proudly present a growing catalogue of work by new and established filmmakers. Each year, a special pop up AVA short film library viewing booth is installed in different Festival venues. Watch this space for where our 65th Cork Film Festival 2020 pop up AVA booth will appear!

AVA is presented in partnership with AVA, PicturePipe and Cork City Library, co-funded by the European Union, Creative Europe Media.
