Cork International Film Festival – Call for Volunteers!
Cork International Film Festival is a local, national and international celebration of cinema, running for 11 days in November each year in Cork City.
Award-winning films from the international film festival circuit, new discoveries and cinema classics are selected by our experienced curatorial team to be shown on the big screen in Cork.
The Festival showcases the latest and best international and Irish features, documentaries and shorts, and includes programmes for schools, families, a focus on film and mental health (Illuminate) and specialist Industry Days, including Doc Day, cementing the Festival as the destination festival for documentary in Ireland.
The 69th edition is taking place from Thursday 7th to Sunday 17th November 2024 at venues across Cork City and county.
We are seeking enthusiastic and personable volunteers to put the heart and soul of film onto the streets and screens of Cork!
Location: Cork City
Volunteer Roles include:
- Stewarding events
- Ticket Scanning at events
What’s required:
- General Admin/Office Support
- Phone Support/ Information Giver
- Front-of-house Customer Support
Desired skills:
- Personable Skills – friendly, good with people
- Computer skills an advantage
- Level of English required: Intermediate English
Time and Commitment Requirements for this Role:
- Minimum time commitment: 1 week
- Min Hours: 4 hours once off
Volunteers will be provide with the following supports:
- Support/advice/recognition
- Initial induction and training

The volunteer role is only open to persons being 18 years old or older
