    CIFF2022 Awards


    For 67 years, Cork International Film Festival has celebrated excellence in filmmaking, championing new and emerging voices, and established filmmakers, through its prestigious awards.

    Three of our awards – the Grand Prix Irish Short, the Grand Prix International Short and the Grand Prix Documentary Short – are Academy Award®-qualifying, ensuring that the winners in Cork will be automatically longlisted for the Oscars®

    Jurors: Inka Achté, DocPoint Helsinki Documentary Film Festival; Joana de Sousa, Doclisboa International Film Festival; Daan Vermeulen, Cinema Delicatessen / Formerly IDFA 

    CORK INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL YOUTH JURY AWARD 

    Chosen by our youth jury comprising students from UCC, MTU and St. John’s Central College 

    AUDIENCE AWARD (FEATURES) 

    Chosen by you, the audience, by voting online. All Festival features that have their Irish premiere in cinema are eligible for the award. 

    2022 AWARDS ANNOUNCEMENTS 

    Winners of the CIFF2022 shorts awards will be announced on Thu 17 November following the screening of Hyphen at the Triskel at 4.30pm. The winner of the Best Cork Short Award will be announced after the screening of the Irish Shorts 3: Pure Cork programme on Saturday, 19 November (13:30)  at The Everyman.

    Winners of the CIFF2022 features awards will be announced on Sun 20 November at our Closing Gala. Both Audience Award winners will be announced on 22 November
