Jim Queen

Jim is the figurehead of Paris’s glamours gay scene. Gym Queen, social-media sensation and object of everyone’s desire. This is till suddenly the city is hit by a new epidemic, the virus Heterosis, that turns every homosexual straight.

Overnight, Jim’s followers vanish, and his carefully constructed world of fame begins to fall apart. His only remaining supporter is Lucien, a shy, slender twink with a fiercely domineering mother, who is struggling to come out and has always worshipped Jim from afar.

Together, this wildly mismatched pair plunge into the queer chaos the metropolis, chasing a mysterious doctor rumoured to possess a cure. Along the way, their madcap adventure becomes a riotous journey through fame, identity, desire and every stereotypes of gay culture in existence.

Directed by Marco Nguyen and Nicolas Athané, Jim Queen is their feature directorial debut and premiered in Cannes 2026’s Midnight Screenings. Their explosive animated satire brings their extensive experience in animation and queer subculture to the screen in a hilarious, over the top, but equally affectionate love letter to the many facets of the gay community.
