Parallax Emerging Film Artist Award Exhibition

OPENING RECEPTION: FRI 13 | 13:00-14:30

Established by Sample-Studios and Cork International Film Festival in 2023, the Parallax Emerging Film Artist Award partnership recognises outstanding emerging talent in artist film nationally and creates a distinct space to champion film artists and to bolster their practices at the early stages of development.

In 2026, we expanded the Parallax Award to allow it to positively impact more promising graduate film artists through a jury-selected exhibition in The Lord Mayor’s Pavilion of four shortlisted graduates, as part of the 71st CIFF.

THU 12 - SAT 28 | THE LORD MAYOR’S PAVILION | 11:00 - 16:00 | FREE

OPEN DAILY: 11:00 - 16:00, TUE-SAT

The shortlisted graduates are:

Autumn McNamara, 'Swansong', Limerick School of Art and Design, Technical University of the Shannon (TUS)

Andy Chirali, 'Mule Rider and the Stranger', National College of Art & Design (NCAD)

Nikol Ochichenko, 'Still Tied', Institute of Art, Design & Technology (IADT)

Harrison Connally, MTU Crawford College of Art & Design

The winner of the Parallax Award will be selected from the shortlisted exhibitors and announced during the 71st Festival. They will receive a €3,000, bursary, 12-month honorary membership of Sample- Studios and accreditation at the 72nd CIFF.
