Discover more this June with Cork International Film Festival. Tomorrow, Wednesday 8th June, CIFF is delighted to present the Irish Premiere of feature documentary Animal followed by a panel discussion as part of our Green Screen strand. For this year’s Cruinniú na nÓg we have curated a free online programme of Festival short films from Ireland and Europe, including a chat with a filmmaker. Join us for our next stop on the European Shorts Season tour with a selection of innovative short films guest-curated by the International Short Film Festival of Cyprus.

EXPLORE CLIMATE ACTION THROUGH CIFF GREEN SCREEN: ‘ANIMAL’ + PANEL DISCUSSION

Join us tomorrow evening for the Irish Premiere of the urgent and thought-provoking climate action documentary, Animal, from filmmaker and activist Cyril Dion, as part of CIFF’s Green Screen environmental film and discussion strand.

The screening will be followed by a panel discussion presented in partnership with UCC, exploring issues of climate action and environmental activism and sustainability.

CRUINNIÚ na nÓG @ CIFF: 11th JUNE, 9am – 9pm

Cork International Film Festival is thrilled to offer a FREE programme of Festival short films from Ireland and Europe that will inspire and delight as part of this year’s Cruinniú na nÓg, our national day of creativity for children and young people. Enjoy a selection of wonderful short animations and live-action film gems, and a chat with a guest filmmaker.

Our whistle-stop tour of Europe continues in June, this time with exciting, distinctive short films guest-curated by International Short Film Festival of Cyprus. As one of the most important film festivals in Cyprus, ISFFC is renowned for showcasing current international trends in short films, integrating innovation and creativity, and providing a platform for emerging filmmakers, fortifying its reputation as an audience favourite.

Join us at 6pm, Tuesday, 28th June at The Gate Cinemas, Cork City, and afterwards in the Franciscan Well Bar for a post-screening Film Club chat.

SOMETHING TO WHET YOUR APPETITE: CIFF CULINARY CINEMA @ THE MONTENOTTE HOTEL

Cork International Film Festival is delighted to collaborate with the luxurious Montenotte Hotel to host a special CIFF Culinary Cinema experience where you can watch a foodie cinematic treat specially curated by the Festival in the Montenotte Hotel’s Cameo Cinema Club (pictured above) and then enjoy a sumptuous meal based on the film on Wednesday, 13th July.

Miss the Regular Deadline for CIFF2022 in May? No worries! We are accepting late submissions of features, feature documentaries, international shorts, and international documentary shorts until Friday, 15th July 2022.

DOCS IRELAND FESTIVAL RETURNS

Our IGNITE partners, Docs Ireland, Belfast are hosting their fourth annual Docs Ireland international documentary festival from Wednesday 29th June to Saturday 3rd July. Public audiences and industry professionals will encounter rising stars and seasoned documentary industry experts through masterclasses, workshops, panel discussions and in-conversation sessions among the festival’s many screenings and events.

CATCH CIFF2020’s ‘WOLFWALKERS’ AT THE TRISKEL

 

You don’t want to miss Wolfwalkers, a stunning Irish animation we had the delight of showing as our Family Gala premiere in CIFF2020. From the creators of The Secret of Kells and Song of the Sea, this special screening takes place on Saturday, 11th June for Crunniú na Óg in the Triskel Arts Centre.
