    Schools Spring Programme 2024


    Cork International Film Festival is delighted to present a diverse and exciting programme of films for young people as part of our Spring Schools Programme in April 2024.

    The Schools programme is available at the Arc Cinema, Cork City, Midleton and Mallow from 15th to 18th April, and The Reel Cinema Ballincollig from 22nd to 26th April 2024.
    Each student ticket is €7.00 (€6.50 DEIS school discount) accompanying teachers can attend free of charge.

    Junior Cert French: JUNIORS

    Jordan and Patrick, 14, are bored to death in their French village. When their Playstation 4 breaks down, they decide to fake an illness and create an online kitty to buy a new one. However, as money flows, the lie gets away from them, threatening their friendship

    Three inseparable teenagers face a public outcry after posting a video that exposes the attacker of one of them. Faced with threats, they must choose between deleting the video or continuing to fight.

    Barely 22, Franz Klammer finds himself at the “eye of the storm” when he shows up for the men’s downhill competition at the 1976 Winter Olympic Games.

    Summertime in a small village in southeastern Spain. A storm threatens to cause the river crossing it to overflow again. In this electric atmosphere that precedes the storm, Ana, who dreams of fleeing this village that stinks of death, and José will live a story of summer love.

    Who said living with a disability means giving up on your biggest dreams? Pascal Plisson travelled the world to meet Xavier, Charles, Antonio, Maud, Nirmala, and Khendo, children who prove that love, inclusive education, humour, and courage can move mountains, and that destiny is sometimes full of surprises.


    Please note that advanced booking for all screenings is required.
