Forest High (Forêt Ivre)

In the northern Alps, Anne, Hélène and Suzanne take turns looking after an Alpine hut. Through the seasons, hikers come and go. Stories bloom and fade, leaving them to contemplate their solitary lives amid nature's poetry.

Forest High is an exploration of life in the mountains – following the people, landscapes and traditions that shape a community living close to nature. It is an evocative look at the deep connection between people and place.

EVENT:

Following the screening, L’Atitude 51 will become its own Alpine refuge for the afternoon. Guests are invited to eat and drink as if they have just arrived at the refuge after a day in the mountains: communal tables, good French wine, mountain cheeses, rustic bread, charcuterie and simple Alpine dishes.
