CONGO BOY (+ MUSICAL PERFORMANCE BY CHRIS KABS)
Rafiki Fariala | Central African Republic, France, Italy, Democratic Republic of Congo | 2026 | 95 mins | Subtitled | Fiction
In Bangui, the capital of the Central African Republic, 17-year-old Robert dreams of becoming a musician. A Congolese refugee living with his four younger siblings, he is already carrying responsibilities far beyond his years. But music gives Robert another way of seeing the world.
Drawing on his own experiences as a Congolese refugee and musician, director Rafiki Fariala creates a deeply personal coming-of-age story in which vibrant music performances, gentle humour and a naturalistic young cast constantly convey an infectious sense of possibility.

CANTONA: FLOWER OF EVIL
David Tryhorn, Ben Nicholas | United Kingdom | 2026 | 115 mins | Documentary
Branded unmanageable and forced into retirement at just 25, Eric Cantona seemed destined to become a footnote in football history. Then came Manchester United, where Alex Ferguson recognised the extraordinary talent beneath his rebellious exterior and channelled it into one of the most remarkable comebacks in sporting history.
You don’t need to be a football fan to love the story. This is a film about being written off and starting again, about the price and power of being different, and about what happens when an outsider becomes an icon. Football provides the stage; the human story reaches far beyond it.

TIN CASTLE
Alexander Murphy | Ireland | 2026 | 105 mins | Documentary
The O’Reilly family lives in a rundown trailer along a country road. Pa’, Lisa, and their ten children weather the seasons in their tin castle, heirs to a way of life. Under threat of eviction, their tenuous balance falters, yet they resist. The children laugh, the dogs bark, the trailer holds on – but for how long?
Rather than imposing an outside judgement on the O’Reillys, Alexander Murphy allows their story to unfold with remarkable intimacy and patience. Shot over five years, Tin Castle is both a portrait of one family and a quietly powerful reflection on belonging, poverty, tradition and the right to choose a different way of life.
Tin Castle received a Special Mention from the jury of L’Œil d’Or (Best Documentary film) at the Cannes Film Festival.
