Lose yourself in films from faraway shores and enjoy a special programme guest-curated by our friends at Drama International Short Film Festival in Greece for our second programme in the CIFF Film Club: European Shorts Season. Join us on Tuesday, 31st May at 6pm at The Gate Cinema, Cork City.
CIFF Film Club audiences are invited to the Franciscan Well Bar on the North Mall following the screenings for a friendly and informal get-together to discuss each month’s shorts programme with members of the CIFF programming team while enjoying an exclusive 2-for-1 cocktail deal (available on presentation of your Film Club e-ticket).

CIFF’s European Shorts Season takes place on the last Tuesday of the month until September with our partner The Gate Cinema. Why not check out a 3 x Film Club Season Pass for €30 (€27 Conc.) allowing more bang for your buck while discovering Europe from your cinema seat.

As part of the French Presidency of the EU Council and to mark Europe Day on May 9th, the EUNIC Ireland Network (European Union National Institutes for Culture) in association with Cork International Film Festival is delighted to present a free screening of its 2021 Short Shorts from Europe programme in The Gate Cinema, Cork City at 6.30pm, Monday, May 9th.
Introduced by the French Ambassador to Ireland, H.E. Mr Vincent Guérend, you are invited to enjoy a variety of genres from contemporary, cutting-edge filmmakers with films from Austria, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Spain and the UK. Shorts from Cork International Film Festival, the IFI and Limerick School of Art and Design are also part of the selection.
After the screening, you will be asked to vote for your favourite film using your phone. A full list of shorts is available here.

Our regular deadline for CIFF2022 submissions is nearly upon us. Submit your features, documentaries, and short films via the online submission platform Film Freeway by Friday, 20th May.
